VINTAGE RENEWAL: INDIAN EMBROIDERED JACKET
Saturday, August 09, 2014
You'll probably begin to notice that I am a bit of a detail Magpie! Its one of the key things I keep an eye out for whilst I trail the charity shops. Beading and embroidery always make a piece of clothing look more expensive and are usually a higher quality. This little waistcoat came from a traditional Indian jacket. Ethnic clothing is another great one to look out for, traditional dress is always beautifully made with gorgeous patterning and colours. I simply removed a long sheer panel attached to the bottom of the embroidered piece and it becomes a really wearable item to bring some detail to your look.

What a great, unique way to wear it. I love your take on it. I'm Indian so I see this type of stuff around all the time, but never the way you wear it. Very creative!
